Rhubarb-ginger compote

Hello kids! So. Here is a video. Disclaimer: Its been… er… 2 years since I last shot and/or edited anything. We are currently ramping up for production so stay tuned for more in depth pieces, LIVE! FROM ORCAS ISLAND, WA. Anyway, viola! I got something up for you guys. Enjoy

I spent the day goofing off. I borrowed my friend Katie’s mountain bike to ride to town. I rode up the west side of the horse shoe through stunning Crow Valley to East Sound, also known as town. It was a hilly ride and that damn bike weighed me down a little bit (or maybe I am just out of shape). Probably the latter. [Note to self: (1) Get road bike. (2) Use it.] In town there was this charming little natural foods store. I was disturbed to see immediately upon entering a huge stack of bananas. On this wee island? (I just have this thing with bananas as some of you know. If you have no idea what I am talking about go here.) Regardless, they had some pretty good stuff. Huge selection of bulk spices and herbal teas. My favorite purchase: rhubarb. Tonight I made some rhubarb-ginger compote with brownies. Ha! Fancy, I know.

I have taken some really gorgeous photographs but do not have the card loader (doh!). I went to the RadioShack (Yes, there is a RadioShack here?! Of all things.) and the guy placed a special order for me. Pictures will be uploaded next week. Yay.

To give you a highlight of what you have to look forward to:

I found a crab shell on the beach today and in my curious state I staged a photographic animation skit with him. Good times. I wonder what the soundtrack for that one should be. Any ideas?
