Gilligan's Isle

Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard this tiny ship. . . .

In all honesty, the ship (ferry) I took over here was not so tiny. It carried like 8 mack trucks and 10 or so cars. The trucks were a mix: Budweiser, Recycling, Food Services and some others. The journey took longer than expected with a 2 hour bus ride from Seattle to the Anacortes ferry landing, then another 2 hours on ferry. I passed out once I hit my friend’s house.

Had some fresh prawns, homemade tea, and leeks from a friend’s garden for dinner. This morning we ate some eggs from a neighbor with a baby greens salad. Yum. Green Landscapes. Hitchhiking. Food. Farming. Lots of things to explore. My mind is buzzing with inspiration right now. I cannot wait to start editing and uploading videos for you all. I will be settled on Orcas Farm on Thursday and can hopefully get a good routine and work flow down. My friend got me some gum boots. They even have laces at the top! Stay tuned for a picture. A pair of overalls is all I need to really be a farmer now! And maybe a pitch fork? Yea. Definitely a pitch fork. OR! A yellow bikini like MaryAnn. I’ll go down to The Exchange and see if I can pick me up one of those ASAP.

. . .so join us here each week, my friend,
you’re sure to get a smile,
from seven stranded castaways,
Here on Gilligan’s Isle!
